What we believe about making

Every person bears inherent dignity.

We don’t go looking for the dramatic. We go looking for the true, and we've found that at the center of every story is a person worthy of careful attention.

Attention is a gift

Trust is built before a single frame is shot. The people in our films were never subjects to extract a story from — they were hosts we were grateful to be welcomed by.

Craft is an act of stewardship.

How a person works with their hands says something true about how they understand their place in the world. We take that seriously, on both sides of the lens.

Truth discovered is truth communicated

The making of the film and the story of the film are not separate processes. We are shaped by the people and the work in the act of telling their story honestly.
